Coffee, Writing, and A Packed Schedule – My Summer Internship Experience

intern

This summer takes the cake as my busiest, yet most fulfilling, summer yet. I worked part-time at Designer Shoe Warehouse (DSW) while completing two internships! The first was at The Hip Event, a public relations and event planning business based in Fairfield, New Jersey. There, I was tasked to lead a project blogging about North Jersey businesses like stylish boutiques and unique bakeries. Because of my love for fashion, my bosses thought it would be a good idea to have me play dress up and take photos to coincide with the posts. That part was the best – hands down! Take a look at some of the blogs I wrote!

My second internship was doing social media for Bronze Magazine, a digital magazine celebrating women of color. I was responsible for scheduling hundreds of posts a week making Hootsuite and I very well acquainted!

All of the experience I gained this summer, along with what I have learned maintaining this blog, helped me to achieve three internship offers for the fall! One of them as a beauty intern with Latina Magazine, which I accepted and am super excited for. This summer was pretty crazy but I have had some time to rest and now I am ready to get back in the game. I’ll be moving back into school this week for the last time *tear* and will be working toward my graduation in December. Big things happening for me this year but do not fret, Glamorously Nicole will always have a place on my priority list. Stay tuned for fun new posts!

What did you spend you summer doing? Was it relaxing or work-filled like mine? Let me know below!
